Abstract

In this paper we use electrical grids and the energy market as a system-of-systems example to show how BPMN representations of DSMs may be combined with algebraic structures, forinstance lattices, to form structions that can be the base for digital twins simulating physical and non-physical systems. This is of relevance to energy distribution and its market. A market highly constrained by laws and regulations. We show how activity processes and design structures can be viewed as having a common qualification modeling framework based on lattice-valuations.
